There is something so special about choosing your bridal lingerie! And with so many sweet and beautiful options, it isn’t easy. I love the soft and romantic sets the best {#1, #2, #3, & #13} but am also such a sucker for little PJ sets  & rompers {#1anddoneamiright?} #14 is so feminine with the little lace edges, and #5, and #7 just look straight up comfy #illtakeit

Which are your favorites? Any of these would make for great lingerie shower gift as well!

Wedding Floral Inspiration

When you first get engaged, it’s almost a race to to decide the things that will be the most important to you {aesthetics wise} on the big day so that you can budget accordingly! I always knew I wanted flowers to be a huge part of my wedding so I set out to find the inspiration that visually described the ideas I had in my head. Most florists will ask you to show them pictures of flowers that you love, so I immediately went to Pinterest.  We all know Pinterest can be a black hole of inspiration, but after several glasses of wine and few too many episodes of friends later, I found a few images that described the look I wanted to a T. Our wedding reception will be at my parents home, so I want the overall theme of my wedding to feel very romantic, and natural, to play off the aspects my home {and backyard} provide. I don’t want anything looking “too perfect,” meaning I like flowers that look a little more undone – more thrown together. I also knew I wanted to work with “fluffy” flowers – peonies, garden roses, magnolias, hydrangeas – and I want them to be all white with pops of lavenders and blues. Without further ado….

Since most people will be arriving through the front door, I love the idea of my front door having a beautiful wreath on it

My sweet coworker Julia had the most gorgeous bouquets I have *ever* seen, so I’m recreating them exactly! #thanksboo!

Last but not least – table arrangements – I want simple, fluffy, and all white + blueish grey centerpieces

I’m not so much into the colors as I am the very simple table runner of green leaves + the idea of floral crowns {such a sucker for a good flower crown}

Wait speaking of flower crowns – replace these flowers with white + blues and you’ll have what my special little ladies will be wearing on the big day! Love how imperfect + sweet they are

Wedding Wednesday: What Type of Shoes to Wear For Your Wedding

When I got engaged, one of the things I was most excited about were picking my shoes for all the parties, showers and of course, the big day! Shoes have always been my most favorite accessory, and I knew there would be so many fun options out there. What I didn’t anticipate was how many options I would love! Making a commitment on one shoe for the big day is so hard. #firstworldproblems. But really, the most important thing I’ve realized when picking out your shoes is to consider your venue and the overall vibe of the event. Is it dressy? Casual? Beachy? Will you have to walk in grass or sand? Once you answer those questions, it will help steer you in the right direction! I think #13 would be perfect for a party where there is grass or sand involved {a wedge makes things so much easier!} I’ve also recently purchase #7 & #8 for engagement parties because they are simple, yet chic- and also on the more affordable end {I’m looking at you #10!} I also recently went to my friends wedding recently and she had chosen #1 as her ‘something blue’ which I thought was so cute! What a fun way to incorporate an old tradition into a modern wedding! Shop the picks above or below!

Wedding Wednesday: What to Wear to Your Bridal Shower or Luncheon

When I first saw this dress, I fell in love. The detailing of the crochet was incredible and the style {& length!} felt very ladylike. The price was a bit hard to swallow, but I justified it to myself because it felt timeless, and this year alone, there are so many opportunities for me to wear it (spoiler alert: be prepared to see it here again when I reveal my engagement photos :))

This leads me to my next point, and the basis of this entire post! What to wear {if you are the bride-to-be} to a Bridal shower or luncheon. I know you probably remember this post {all my favorite white items of the moment} but I wanted to feature just dresses this go round as these occasions tend to be a little more dressed up! Below are some of the things to consider when picking out your special outfit!

  1. Wear white! This is your moment to shine, and wearing white really helps you stand out from all the other people in attendance
  2. Keep your venue in mind – If your shower or luncheon is at the Country Club, you may want to keep your shoulders covered and your hemline a little longer. Whereas, if it’s at a friend or family members house, feel free to wear something a little more playful and casual. You never want to feel underdressed at your own party!
  3. Accessories – because you will be wearing all white, accessories will be a really fun way to add some flair! My favorite would be blue {an ode to ‘something blue’} but any color works! I even love the idea of adding white accessories {this is my dream wedding clutch} Go with what feels right!

I loved the dress above because it checked all the boxes, and it made me feel special – something I know I want to feel when surrounded by the women in my life whom I love so much!  Some of my other favorites? This dress is so cute and the price point is spot on. The delicate flower overlays are so feminine and pretty. Another favorite has to be this dress! I have long loved this silhouette and the back detailing and the scalloped edges have me sold.
