Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks + Review

Bow shirt // boots // off the shoulder sweater // jeans // clutch // flannel

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is live y’all and it is GOOD. I was lucky enough to shop everything a day early and scored some amazing deals and I wanted to break down my favorites here for y’all {you can also check out all my favorites here & here!}

Y’all know I’m a shoes girl, but the shoes included in this sale are on another level. First up,  these laser cut booties are amazing and so incredibly comfortable. I snagged the taupe pair for under $100 #hollllaa I also bought these in the taupe colorwar for $79 and they’re so versatile that I’m tempted by the black and olive colorways. Lastly, these Steve Madden babies were a surprise even for me. I didn’t expect to like them as much as I did, but once I got home, and got to styling them, I realized they were so, so versatile. And SO comfortable! For having such a high heel, they’re surprisingly comfortable.  Did I say lastly? I also snagged these nikes, these super cool sneakers, and these amazing over the knee boots. All are going to be perfect for fall. A few things I didn’t walk away, but am eyeing? These super cool silver mules {y’all know I love my silver shoes}, these brit inspired chelsea boots and these timeless ridding boots. I TOLD YALL I AM A SHOE GIRL!  #sendhelp #sos #someonetakeawaymycreditcard ?? Shop my favorites below!

So after I hit the shoe department, I went up to see what was happening in the clothing section. As you can imagine, this section was the most daunting….there were SO many items to see, feel, try on and make decisions about. I was overwhelmed and I wasn’t even fighting the crowds! Regardless, I walked away with some incredible pieces, and I’m going to break down my favorites for y’all here.

This lace cami. By far my favorite item I walked away with. I think the reason that this is my favorite is because the quality and fit really surprised me. This $22 cami was nicer, and better fitting than any of the other {much more expensive!} silk camis I had tried in the past, and the fit was perfection. I’m tall, so this is a feat in and of itself! I bought the black, and am kicking myself for not getting the white as well! Checking out now so I can have my cake and eat it too…. 😉

This flannel. As seen above, this ‘flannel’ is special because it’s not actually flannel material. Its a super lightweight fabric that is perfect for hott texas months {I can imagine wearing this out at the ranch in August and September with cut off shorts!} I love that I get the look of a flannel shirt without having the heat of the flannel shirt #yaknowwhatimean? Also, did I mention it was only $45? In the dressing room I had been eyeing this more expensive {yet still on sale!} flannel, but was happy to find I actually loved the cheaper version better! #winning

These Jeans. ZOMG yall. I can’t believe I’m just now talking about these jeans.….!!! They. are. SO. GOOD. I haven’t taken them off since I bought them. They’re stretchy without stretching out, they’re perfectly distressed, and a classic blue color. These are the type of jeans that are good all year round. Great with sweaters in the fall/winter {as seen above with this off the shoulder beauty} or with t-shirts & sandals in the spring/summer {like I wore all day today}. If you can’t swing the higher price point, these bad boys are pretty dang amazing too at a fraction of the cost!!

See more of my favorite clothing items below!

Last but not least is beauty. I gotta admit that I almost called it quits after the overwhelming selection in the clothing department {not to mention the damage $$$ I had already done} but I dragged myself downstairs regardless and I’m so glad I did. The beauty sets this year are INCREDIBLE. All of my favorite beauty designers make an appearance: Tom Ford,  Nars, Charlotte Tilbury {I bought this & this}, La Mer, SK-II, & of course, my beloved revitalash. Of all of these, I’ll go into detail about three: La Mer, Charlotte Tilbury & RevitaLash.

  • First up, I gotta admit that my biggest splurge of the sale was this La Mer set. I had been wanting to try La Mer since I can remember, but who can justify the prices?? I never could. That is, until this past Tuesday when I got my hands on this set of 5 {!!!} La Mer products. I honestly am too overwhelmed to even tell you which product I am most excited about trying, but if I had to pick, I’d probably say I’m most jazzed about trying the good ole classic moisturizing creme. Everyone says it’s life changing and I’m ready to find out for myself.
  • Charlotte Tilbury is next, coming in as my new favorite brand. I am in love with both her face care products and her make up. She did a collab with Kim Kardashian a while back {say what you will, but Kim K knows a good nude lip!} and I had been eyeing the Kim KW x CT lipstick ever since. Lucky for me, the NSALE x CT beauty kit includes this Kim K lip color as well as a darker shade {great for fall} & a lip pencil {I learned the hard way that pencils are **imperitive** for keeping lipstick from seeping out of your lip creases!} So excited I finally own all three! As for CT’s skincare, I recently bought the CT Magic Creme {full size} and am in love with it. I was super excited to see this creme, along with the night & eye versions, all being sold as part of a set as well. Couldn’t have been better timing for me as I leave for the South of France in two days and am such a sucker for travel size anything {but especially if it’s CT} 🙂
  • Yall. I’ve saved the best for last. I get **so** many questions about my lashes, and let me tell you what – I used to have AWFUL lashes. They’re naturally short & wispy, and just plain blah. But then I discovered RevitaLash and I have become a changed woman. My lashes are long. And I mean LONNNNNNGG. And y’all aren’t the only ones who stop me to ask about them. I get stopped by strangers, friends, family…the list goes on. RevitaLash has changed my world {and is my #1 beauty MUST} and its currently on sale for 2 FOR 1!!!!! Yes. I’m not kidding. Stock up on this while you can  – I know I am!

Ok y’all – that’s it for now! Hope y’all found this helpful!! Let me know if you scored any major deals in the comments and send me any questions you have. I’m here! Happy shopping & until next time!

xx

Little Blue Dress

Dress: Faithful The Brand Liza Dress // Shoes: Schutz ‘Enida’ heels {own this version too & this colorway is on sale!} // Clutch: Chelsea28 straw clutch {similar here} // Earrings: Old, similar here

I’m in love with this little blue dress. I’ve had it for a couple months now, but it’s been pulled out time and time again recently because of this hott Texas weather! It’s perfect for keeping cool on warmer days. I love the bright blue color and the shape is so flattering. I loved the pattern so much, I also bought the romper version! Can’t wait to wear it at the beach in a few weeks! Worn it here with my favorite schutz ‘enida’ heels and straw clutch {also love this one & you can’t beat the price!} Get the details by shopping the links above or below!
