Memorial Day is coming up next week and with that, a time to recognize those who have fought for our freedom. I am forever grateful for those that risk their lives to keep our country safe!

Memorial Day is also an amazing opportunity to get together with loved ones and celebrate by the pool, for a barbeque, or maybe even a long-weekend getaway. My plans include lounging by the pool and grilling out with the fam. I can hardly wait for a little R&R before the hustle and bustle of summer moves in. And not to be taken for granted, the weather in Dallas has been absolutely gorgeous recently – it’s not common to still be in the 80s come the end of May. Want to soak in every moment!!

Travel season is upon us and one of my most frequently asked questions is: “What is the ring you love to travel with?” I always leave my nice jewelry in Texas {in a safety deposit box at the bank} and opt for a simple gold or diamond band like this one as a replacement. I think there is something so chic and minimalist about a thin band! There are so many on the internet ranging in price as well as size, I have linked quite a few of my favorites below for y’all.

Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner and I’m sure y’all are planning something fun and festive for the big day. With that, a fun and festive outfit makes it even more fun. Bright colors, funky patterns, vibrant florals. Y’all know I love a reason to dress in theme and Cinco de Mayo is no exception. Farm Rio and Mi Golondrina are two of my go-to brands when it comes to florals, embroidery, and all things spring dressing. I’m also swooning over this raffia clutch {under $100!} that could easily be could be taken from a Cinco celebration to a tropical vacation. I also own this fun mini skirt that has become a fast favorite of mine.

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, I’m sure many of us are beginning to brainstorm teacher gift ideas. Teachers do *so* much for our littles, it’s only right we show them how much we love and appreciate them and the time they invest in our children. My favorite way to gift Henning’s teachers is to put a couple of small items in some sort of bag {this monogrammed raffia one is only $3 on Etsy!!} or a cellophane bag works just fine too. Think of it as a ‘goodie bag’ of sorts. I think these are so much fun to put together and fun for the receiver to open as well! I love to do a mix of beauty, useful ‘teacher’ gifts {like these cute little notepads} or these Weezie dish towels {which I own and love}, or these little cosmetic bags {so cute to fill with a Starbucks or Target gift card! I love little gift sets like these colored tile bracelets or these Peter Thomas Roth mini face masks that are easy to split up among different teachers.
