If this is your first year to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, or you’re just like me {I admit!} and a little overwhelmed, let me help break it down for you. Every year Nordstrom puts hundreds of brand new fall items on sale, and although the specific product changes from year to year, I have come to expect certain categories will always be included {and have great picks!} Below are a few items I keep a look out for, and buy first when shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Please note that all 2018 NSALE items will show as ‘sold out’ until the sale starts on Thursday 7/12!
UNDERWEAR
Is there anything better than new underwear? I like to stock up on my favorites when shopping the NSALE because underwear is expensive {!!} and the brands included are always high quality brands like Hanky Panky, Spanx, Natori, and Commando. Before the sale, I go through my underwear drawer and throw away old and ratty undergarments – both bras and underwear alike. Because I wear both every single day, they get a little worn looking, and it’s nice to stock up with fresh new pieces when they’re so deeply discounted. What I usually do is buy ~10 new pairs, replace half and save the rest for when older pairs wear out. Makes my ? happy all year round!
JEANS
Another item I love to buy during the NSALE are jeans. They have everything from AG Jeans to Topshop included in the sale and you can get them at a fraction of the cost. I bought these AG Jeans during last years sale and they were by far my most worn jeans last year – I even wore them this past week traveling 10+ hours in the car to & from Gulf Shores! BOOTS/BOOTIES
Historically, during the NSALE, there are some really amazing boots & booties that go one sale. Some of my favorite styles throughout the years have been purchased during this 4 week period {see previous NSALE boot purchases featured in posts here, here, & here}. You will see incredible prices, across an array of styles and colorways. I have been known to buy a bootie or boot in multiple colorways in years past – here you see the same boot, purchased during last years NSALE, in both black & tan! Like I said, I’m historically a huge fan of the boot & bootie sale options during this time, and this year will be no different! Two early favs are seen from the 2018 catalogue here, here & here. Side note: Although these aren’t technically booties, I’m obsessed with them and want both colors!
OUTERWEAR
Let’s face it. Outerwear is typically expensive, so any discount is a lifesaver, but especially when it’s on brand new merchandise. There are always incredible leather jackets {my favorite are usually from BB Dakota} and coats on sale like this one from J.Crew that comes in 5 colorways. Other early 2018 NSALE outerwear favs: this fleece beauty from Thread & Supply and this classic blazer from J.Crew.
BEAUTY
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love all things beauty. Last summer was my first time really investing in my products and it all started with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This is the time of year Nordstrom releases beauty exclusives that you can’t get anywhere else. My weakness are the sets – Last year I bought the La Mer set – for $492 $330 it included the beloved Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream {something I had always lusted after}, the Cleansing Micellar Water, the Lifting & Firming Mask, the Eye Concentrate, and finally the Renewal Oil. I loved all of it. I also bought Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Skin Skin Care Set which included a full-size Magic Eye Rescue Rejuvenates, a Mini Magic Cream Treat & Mini Magic Night Cream. This years La Mer set also looks pretty great, but I’m excited they also have a less expensive set coming in at under $100. I’ll be sweeping this category first thing Thursday morning to share more of my favorites!
