Woke up super early at the ranch to watch the Solar eclipse. Such a cool thing to see! Spending a lot of time getting dressed at 5am is the last thing I wanted to do, so this simple outfit made sense. If I’m ever in a rush in the morning, I always resort to black basics — you can never go wrong!

Craving plaid right now. And even though it still feels like summer in Dallas, It’s never too early too stock up.  Last year I missed my chance to buy a big red plaid scarf from Zara and it still haunts me! #lessonlearned

Grey Asos // Green Nasty Gal

Everyone that knows me well, knows that I have been obsessively searching for a pair of black over the knee boots for fall + winter. There were several things I was looking for in the perfect pair: I wanted a thicker heel, a thin shaft (that wouldn’t sag) and a boot that went just over the knee — but not ‘thigh high.’  This combination proved to be difficult, but I found several great options, and they are below!

 So which pair did I end up choosing? I went with the DV Dolce Vita “Myer” boot. It has a stacked heel, thin shaft, and doesn’t slouch at all! I got them in the mail last week and I thought I loved them until a friend sent me these, which I think I may like a lot!  Hard to be sure if i’d like them more than my current pair, so I may just have to order them to find out!
