I Love My {Diaper} Backpack

‘There’s a difference between like and love. Because, I like my Skechers, but I love my Prada Freshly Picked diaper backpack.” 10 points to you if you caught my not so sly 10 Things I Hate About You reference here and in the title of this post! Reaaaallly couldn’t help myself 😂

In all seriousness, I am so excited about my new Freshly Picked diaper backpack. If you’ve been following me for a while you know my SILs are some of my best friends, and have a major influence in my life. This has never been more true than recently, with both being the new{ish} moms, and serious experts on all things baby related. I go to them constantly asking for advice on what gadget is worth the hype, which stroller is the better than the others, and of course, which diaper bag is best. I honestly don’t think I could’ve survived registering without them – who knew there were so many options?!

As soon as I got to thinking about what diaper bag I would want, I knew I wanted what my SILs have and swear by – which is this backpack. Katelyn, pictured here, is married to my husband’s brother and has a 10 month old and I’ve seen first hand how useful and convenient this bag has been for her. She wanted me to mention that she started off with a regular tote bag but 6 weeks in switched to a backpack for a trip somewhere and never looked back. She said the backpack was night and day better than the tote bag – it was never falling off her shoulder or causing aches and she said she felt like it could fit so much more in it. She also loved that it was totally hands free – she was never having to tug it back up onto her shoulder. Don’t you love the side by side comparison of our bags above? Mine: brand new and empty {waiting for baby!} and hers: 10 months in and very loved. I gotta say, I also love the sleek and simple {yet elegant!} design. Who knew I’d ever be excited about a backpack? Or a diaper bag for that matter!

Look at all that interior room! Katelyn also mentioned that she loved that it came with its own slim mat, so she could change her baby’s diaper anywhere anytime, without having to worry about putting him down on something dirty. This one is slim and easy to wipe down and clean after use too.

Nordstrom has so many incredible baby/kid items online and in-store that it was hard to go in and just pick up my bag. I swung by the clothing and shoe departments on my way out and almost died when I saw these little striped moccasins and the Nordstrom brand onesies. Have you ever seen something so tiny and cute??? I had to stop myself when I got to the little girl swimwear – I’m not even having a little girl and I almost bought this!

If you’re expecting, or know anyone who is, you have to check out the kids category over on Nordstrom. Despite the name, they have everything from mama-to-be maternity wear, to baby toys, strollers, gear, clothing and so much more. The best part about Nordstrom? If you or baby don’t like it, you can always return! They have the best return policy in the game and free shipping and free returns. It seriously doesn’t get easier!
