The biggest sale of the year starts in exactly 4 days! Can you believe it? I feel like it was just yesterday we were all frantically shopping last years sale. #ohhowthetimeflies
If you don’t know, I’m talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This sale, which happens once a year in July, is when Nordstrom places hundreds of new fall items on major sale. When you think of a regular sale, one where there are usually only random colors and sizes left of items from the previous season, you probably get excited, only to find out the thing you wanted is sold out in your size/color/style. The NSALE is different – it is brand new merch, available in all sizes, and all colors, and Nordstrom prepares for this by buying deep into their skus to try their dang hardest not to let items sell out {and if they do, they are often restocked several times before the sale is over – so just keep checking back!}
Early access starts July 14th and this is important because it means you will get to shop the sale before a large majority of other shoppers. How? You must be a Nordstrom {credit or debit} card holder – I have a Nordstrom debit card {I don’t trust myself with a credit!} and it just links up straight to my bank account! #akasupereasy The best part about being a Nordstrom card holder {besides gaining early access} is earning points! Points add up and transform into gift cards that you can use again to make purchases — make sure to pay attention to point earning periods too. Often time Nordstrom does promotions when they double and triple the amount of points you can earn on a single check out! You can sign up for a Nordstrom debit or credit card here.
A few tips for shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? Make a list of items that you need for fall and keep this in mind as you shop! A new pair of distressed denim? A leather jacket? Some boots or booties? All of these items can be found on deep discount and are all items I’m looking for! Another tip? Think of birthdays and holidays – christmas especially! I always stock up on gifts during this sale. Make up pallets, lingerie sets {bridal showers//bachelorette parties!}, bath sets, and other small accessories are all great for this kind of thing.
