Mix & Matching MDS Stripes

Top: MDS Stripes // Shorts: MDS Stripes // Shoes: Splendid ‘jayla’ Sandals // Bag: from mexico, similar here // hat: here

I’m such a sucker for a good stripe – so when I heard about MDS Stripes {which predominantly uses stripe material} I was intrigued! How good are these two pieces mixed together? I love how the colors and different types of stripes play off one another. I also love this dress, which has a very similar feel {albiet a different designer} This outfit makes me feel very Bridgette Bardot in the South of France in this outfit – if only! 🙂

Wedding Wednesday: What to Wear to Your Bridal Shower or Luncheon

being-bridget-0118being-bridget-0135being-bridget-0220 being-bridget-0133 being-bridget-0116

Dress: Alexis Benati dress // Shoes: Steve Madden ‘Sandalia’ sandal // Bag: Cambridge Satchel push lock bag // Lipstick: Chanel no. 104 (the perfect red!)

When I first saw this dress, I fell in love. The detailing of the crochet was incredible and the style {& length!} felt very ladylike. The price was a bit hard to swallow, but I justified it to myself because it felt timeless, and this year alone, there are so many opportunities for me to wear it (spoiler alert: be prepared to see it here again when I reveal my engagement photos :))

This leads me to my next point, and the basis of this entire post! What to wear {if you are the bride-to-be} to a Bridal shower or luncheon. I know you probably remember this post {all my favorite white items of the moment} but I wanted to feature just dresses this go round as these occasions tend to be a little more dressed up! Below are some of the things to consider when picking out your special outfit!

  1. Wear white! This is your moment to shine, and wearing white really helps you stand out from all the other people in attendance
  2. Keep your venue in mind – If your shower or luncheon is at the Country Club, you may want to keep your shoulders covered and your hemline a little longer. Whereas, if it’s at a friend or family members house, feel free to wear something a little more playful and casual. You never want to feel underdressed at your own party!
  3. Accessories – because you will be wearing all white, accessories will be a really fun way to add some flair! My favorite would be blue {an ode to ‘something blue’} but any color works! I even love the idea of adding white accessories {this is my dream wedding clutch} Go with what feels right!

I loved the dress above because it checked all the boxes, and it made me feel special – something I know I want to feel when surrounded by the women in my life whom I love so much!  Some of my other favorites? This dress is so cute and the price point is spot on. The delicate flower overlays are so feminine and pretty. Another favorite has to be this dress! I have long loved this silhouette and the back detailing and the scalloped edges have me sold. A few of my other favorites are below! Happy shopping and good luck!

My summer wish list is growing, and with all the warm weather happening, I basically want everything under the sun. It might be time to pull the trigger on these – what do you think? The nude color looks so pretty! I’m also thinking this tote would be perfect for my summer travels – I’m such a sucker for anything with pom poms. My favorite look in the summer is all white with a *pop* of bright bright color. Can’t wait for summer! #getherealready

Everyday Gingham Dress

dress: Madewell Gingham dress (also here!) // shoes: old, similar here & here // bag: Saint Laurent Betty Bag (similar here) // sunglasses: old, similar here (and only $24!)

As soon as I saw this Madewell dress, I knew I had to have it. Its loose shape and cute pattern felt perfect for spring, and its made of a super soft material. You could easily layer this dress or throw on a military jacket for colder days. These shoes are the oldest pair of shoes that I own – I bought them 9 (!!!!) years ago from Nine West. That could’ve been the best $60 I ever spent! They obviously are lo longer available, but I found two pretty similar options! Shop them above or below!
