Seeing Hearts

Top: Madewell Chambray Shirt // Skirt: Wrap Skirt {under $60!} // Shoes: Vince Karen Wedge {similar here} // Bag: Celine Belt Bag // Sunglasses: Saint Laurent Lou Lou {much cheaper option here}

With Valentine’s day right around the corner, it has never been a better time to whip out these adorable and fun Saint Laurent heart sunglasses. Lucky for you {not so lucky for me} I found an exact dupe for way, way, wayyyyyyy less than what I paid – and the best part is, there are 6 colors to choose from! Order today and you can have them before Valentines day 🙂

This little wrap skirt is so sweet. I can see it paired a million ways, but the first look that came to mind was a cool chambray shirt to dress it down a bit. I also added my favorite wedges {why can’t more designers design a wedge without a platform?!} and I love how the nude sleeve really elongates the leg.

What plans do you have going on this weekend? After a busy week, my husband and I are going to take it easy. Looking forward to a chill day tomorrow spent with him & the pups!

My Top 6 Favorite Amazon Purchases

I stumbled upon this round up of ‘60 Dope Things On Amazon Prime That Have A Cult Following‘ yesterday morning and it got me thinking about my own Amazon purchases. In the last year, there are 6 purchases that stand out in a major way, and I thought it would be really fun to share those with you. I’m also going to share the 6 {!!!} items I bought from the round up above, and why I’m excited about them.

Head Pillow – Y’all know I have raved about this pillow head for years now. It was a lifesaver when my husband and I were on a plane that emergency landed in Iceland {sans luggage} and had to spend a week in the hospital {more on that story later!} I’ve been it’s biggest advocate since. It blocks out light, sound and gives your head a pillow to lean against all in one. It’s also made of this insanely soft jersey material that gives you the feel of luxury {and the hope of real sleep!} on an otherwise lackluster flight/travel experience.

Packing Cubes – I just discovered the magic of these packing cubes before my recent trip to Indonesia and they were amazing. They’re like the magic satchel in Mary Poppins – the more & more I squeezed into them, the more they fit! I was able to pack so much more efficiently and especially loved that this set sent all different sizes.

Sweater shaver – Another brand new purchase {I just bought this a few days ago} but it has already been put to use on all my sweaters. When plugged in, this little sucker is powerful and amazing at removing all of the pills on my sweaters. I’m one of those people who will waste 30 minutes picking the pills off one by one, so this little sweater shaver is a true time saver!

Coravin – This one is a bit of a cheat, because I’ve had my actual Coravin since 2013, BUT, I do buy the Coravin refill capsules on Amazon prime all year round. This kitchen gadget is by far the most used item in our kitchen. To quote the Coravin website, ‘Coravin uses proprietary patented technology to access and pour wine from a bottle without pulling the cork.’ That means that you and I can pour a single glass of wine, from a sealed cork, without feeling like we need to commit to the entire bottle! Although this gadget is a bit more of any investment up front,  you will save money in wine through the years that it makes it beyond worth it. Like I said, I’ve had mine for over 5 years!

Velvet Hangers – When we moved into our new house last year, I decided to invest in nicer hangers. These velvet hangers are by far the best out there because of their no slip grip and wide form & I love the neutral black color {although there are lots of color options to choose from!} The best part about these is the price – if you were to buy these at The Container Store,  they’d be 3x the price. These are just as good, and I love that you can buy 3x more for the price of one! Makes re-doing your closet a more realist & budget friendly goal 🙂

Travel Steamer – I travelled more in 2017 than I ever have in my life, and let me tell what, I definitely got my moneys worth out of this little steamer. It’s small, compact, and super easy to use. There is nothing worse than showing up to your destination than with a suitcase full of wrinkled clothes {ok, lets be real, there are LOTS of things worse, but you get the jist ;)} & this little steamer works like a charm. Don’t know how I ever travelled without it before!

And now for my favorites from the article above.

Acrylic Knife Block Set – Obsessed with how chic & modern this knife block looks. Wouldn’t it look so beautiful on your counter? So much better than the clunky wooden ones you typically see. Did I mention it’s $40?! This would also make the best wedding gift if you know someone getting married!

3-in-1 Avocado Slicer – I’ve recently started eating avocado toast in the morning {I know, I know, so late to the game} and this little knick knack would be so helpful in getting the pit out {something that I always struggle with!} and slicing. Add a little of this seasoning and you WON’T regret your breakfast in the morning 🙂

Neutrogena Light Therapy Treatment Mask {similar} – Ever since I had an LED light therapy facial at Joanna Czech here in Dallas a few months ago, I’ve been obsessed with the concept of LED light treatment. I’m excited to say he’s en route to me and I’ll finally {hopefully!} be able to get that salon worthy glow at home.

Scalp Massaging Shampoo Brush – It’s freezing outside and my scalp is showing the effects – dry, flakey, and not too pleasing to the eye. This little scalp massaging brush intrigued me, and who doesn’t want a little head massage in the shower? Sold.

All In One Snail Repair Cream – Y’all know I’m obsessed with all things beauty recently, and I’m just as big of a sucker as the next person. So you tell me snail secretion is the key to youthful skin? Count me IN on this repair cream – can’t wait to test it out!

Dr. Pedicure Foot Mask {similar} – I love a good face mask, so I was just interested in what a ‘foot’ mask entailed. Will report back!

Valentines Day

Blazer: Smythe Duchess Blazer c/o {also obsessed with this one!} // Tshirt: Madewell {under $20!} // Jeans: AG, old {similar here} // Shoes: Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies {cheaper version here} Bag: Gucci Marmont // Sunglasses” Celine

For me growing up, Valentines Day was always special because it was my dad’s birthday! We would always invite my family over, eat cake, and celebrate. My mom was always super sweet too and would pick out a pretty dress or swimsuit and surprise me with it, and of course, all the candy and excitement at school. Even when single, I never felt sad on Valentine’s Day because it’s such an easy holiday to make other plans for! One of my favorite ideas has been to host a ‘Galentines’ dinner and invite all of my best girlfriends over for a Valentines day themed white elephant. The naughty, flirty, and most likely hilarious gifts would make the night with your girlfriends so fun & funny that you almost forget the holiday is supposed to involve men ?

This year, I’m wearing this look and I couldn’t be more excited abut it. This new Smythe blazer is dreamy and the perfect pop of red to an otherwise neutral outfit. I love it paired here with a classic crewneck {comes in 5 colors!} & white jeans, which always feel so fresh in the springtime. I love all the Valentine’s Day dresses I’m seeing out there right now, but this outfit just feels more me – and more realistic! I think my husband and I are going to meet up with some friends and have an at-home sushi making night 🙂 What are y’alls plans {with or without significant others!} Can’t wait to hear. xx

My Monogrammed Phone Case

The one object I spend more time with than anything else {sadly} is probably my phone – and if I’m going to stare at something so much, I need to like what I’m lookin at, ya know? Enter in this ultra cool block print case from The Daily Edited. They just released this font back in November and I swear I must have been one of their first orders. I had been looking for something exactly like it for months, and when I saw this one, I knew it was perfect. As y’all probably know, I’m a neutrals kinda gal, so I went with the black case with white text and a grey shadow {direction is: VERTICAL}. It showed up, and my phone has been happily rockin’ it ever since.

I’m not the only one who seems to love it though as it is one of my most asked questions I answer daily on my Instagram! You’ll be happy to hear that there are tons of colors & fonts to choose from, so the options are endless. These would make an awesome Valentines Day present…..just sayin 😉

See below for my fav phone case and a few other beautiful items from The Daily Edited {seriously dying for that box bag! Now, if only they’d make it in white…..} 🙂
