Being Bridget

 Every January it’s the same thing – we over indulge in December, and by the time 2018 rolls around we all feel a little lethargic, out of shape and ready to make a change. This year is no different for me. Although I’ve never had to workout to stay slim, I do typically like to consistently workout to stay toned, and keep a clear head! Working out is proven to be good for everyone, so why do I struggle with getting back on the bandwagon when I’ve fallen off?

If I’m being honest, I haven’t worked out consistently since July. Yes…..it’s almost been 7 months since I’ve seen the inside of a pilates studio, a treadmill, or any kind of weight. And although I had a slow start to the new year, I’m ready to hit the ground running in February.

With all that being said, I’m not different than most in that I’m extremely motivated by new clothing & accessories, so I’ve teamed up with eBay to do a little shopping and show y’all everything on my working out wish list. Did y’all know that 88% of items sold on eBay have a ‘buy it now’ option? They carry brands like Nike, Adidas, Athleta and Lululemon and all at super discounted prices.

I’m in love with this neon pink strappy back bra, this classic Nike bra in highlighter yellow, these white leggings and this oversized athleisure jacket {I’m always cold, so I like layers}. But I could always nix the bra altogether and get one of these 2-n-1 bra tops which look super comfortable. I can’t get over these prices either!! They’re almost all 50% less than what they would cost via a more traditional retailer.

So what are my 2018 goals you might wonder? It’s to get back in the gym and just finding a good balance for an overall healthier lifestyle. I look forward to clearing my mind, getting into a routine, and maybe even toning up a bit! What are your 2018 goals? How do you stay on track and stay motivated? Let me know if the comments!

Woke up to snow flurries in Dallas today, and thought, “FINALLY!!!!” There is nothing better than a cold, snowy holiday and today was the perfect day. I stayed inside with my husband and the pups, made The Defined Dish’s black eye peas New Years recipe and had wine with my lunch next to a roaring fire. The most ideal day! Tonight we’re dressing up to go to a friends deb party and the lady who did my hair sprayed it with sparkle glitter hairspray and I don’t hate it!

What are your plans? Are you in for the night or going out? Over the years I’ve done both and I can’t decide which I like better. Both are so nice!

It’s the day after Christmas and all I want to do is wear something black, comfortable and oversized. Thank goodness I had this poncho from Mark & Graham to pull out – it layered over my bodysuit + flared jeans beautifully and was so comfortable for all day wear. What are your go-to outfits for comfortable day wear? Besides stretchy pants of course 🙂

I honestly never thought I’d say this, but I’ve actually found a pair of kitten heels that I not only find tolerable, but that I love. These little knot sandals are the perfect holiday shoe – especially for a tall girl like myself.
