The Warmest Winter Boots

Sweater: Halogen Cashmere crewneck {comes in 12 colors!} // Jeans: Paige Denim Hoxton Skinny Jeans // Shoes: Ugg Australia Jerene Boot // Scarf: Similar // Sunglasses: Celine

We all know the drill. It’s freezing outside and you have to find something warm enough to get up and out in. The problem with most super warm boots is that they’re heinously ugly. It’s so hard to find a good winter boot that’s also stylish – but that’s what these Uggs are! The block heel & real shearling make them so incredibly comfortable and warm and the style is classic enough to be worn year after year {important when you’re buying a winter boot!} Nordstrom has them in three classic colors & I’m wearing them here in ‘mouse,’ which I think is such a fun change from your classic brown or black winter boot.  Also, bonus points that they were just marked down to under $150 – I’m so tempted to get them in the black!

Nordstrom has an incredible selection of warm & stylish winter boots {I also have these and wear them every winter} Check them out and let me know your favorites! It’s cold out there and we need all the options we can get 🙂

ONE OF MY MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Although I’m not a true beauty blogger, I have loved sharing my daily skin & beauty routines with y’all over the past few months. One of my favorite ways to do so is by propping up my phone, hitting record, and letting y’all watch as I do it ‘live’ on my Instagram stories. 99% of the time I’m still in my robe, and more often than not, my inbox is flooded with questions about the different robes I’m wearing {seriously!} All summer I {most frequently} wore an old cotton robe that I stole from my mom {thanks mom!}, but as the temperatures dropped, I felt it was time to find a softer, cozier & most importantly – warmer robe to wear around the house. I hit the jackpot with this Natori sherpa robe. It feels like heaven and the soft blue color is beautiful. It’s one of those things you never want to take off. I would be lying if I said I didn’t sometimes crawl into bed at night with it on…It’s like wearing a giant blanket! Oh, and guess what? The best part is that it’s currently 25% off!

Bloomingdale’s has an incredible selection of robes and pajamas, and with Christmas coming up, it has me thinking about gifting my favorites to my loved ones. I wear this Eberjey set all the time {as y’all know!} and I lived in these lounge pants while living in Geneva. They would both make great gifts. If you have a smaller budget, these Ugg sleep socks are the best, and keep you so warm – I wear mine when hanging around the house all the time. Oh! And if you’re getting married, or know someone that is, get them this. It’s so elegant and beautiful! Or if you’re like me, just gift any of these to yourself to wear 24/7. You won’t regret it.

My Everyday Uniform

Sweater: J.O.A. Tie Sleeve sweater {also here & similar here} // Jeans: Levi’s // Shoes: New Balance {red laces here!} // Bag: Celine {similar here} // Sunglasses: Celine

If you follow me on Instagram, and more specifically, if you follow me on Instagram stories, you know I wear these shoes every single day. They’re so comfortable, and I’m obsessed with the pop of red the laces give. When I bought them, they actually had regular & boring grey laces. The shoe is so neutral so I thought it would be fun to add some color – and Amazon has tons of colorful {& inexpensive!} colored lace options that I indulged in both red & cobalt options.  The bright laces gave the shoes the little bit of extra life that they needed and I’m absolutely in love with how they turned out! Best $3 purchase ever 🙂 Another item on heavy rotation this winter is this tie sleeve sweater. I like this sweater more than others for several reasons. First and foremost, the material of the sweater makes the peplum sleeves feel a little more stiff, making it easy to write, eat, and go about your daily life without the sleeves getting in the way of everything. Second thing I love about this sweater also goes back to the material – its so cozy and soft & plump {does that even make sense? can a sweater be plump?} But it’s just perfectly thick without being overbearing. It’s just perfect. Last but not least, the sweater is listed as ‘oversized’ and it is. It’s perfectly oversized with a hi-lo hem that covers the tush. win/win/WIN.

Currently wearing a version of this look as I type this! Heading out to run Christmas errands – tis the season!! Happy almost Friday y’all! <3

The Perfect Holiday Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit: Ulla Johnson Tess Jumpsuit {also here} // Shoes: Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies {similar, less expensive version here} // Bag: old, similar here & here // Earrings: Old, I would wear these in place // Lipstick: Chanel No. 104

The biggest night of the year in my family growing up has always been our annual Christmas Eve dinner. I come from a big family – I’m one of six! My dad is one of 5! So that means lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and all come over for a big feast. There is always lots of champagne, music, delicious food and fun. It is seriously a night I look forward too all  year – and I can’t wait for this years! Since getting married last year, my husband and I decided we would switch off on Christmas – one year with his family in Switzerland, and one year with hime in New Orleans. I had to spend my first Christmas away from my family last year, but that means that this year is our time in New Orleans! Not only do we get to spend an entire week in New Orleans there, but my siblings are also on the same on/off schedule and I’m just so excited to be with them & their littles too.
With our Christmas Eve dinner being the ultimate highlight of my year, I always try and find the perfect outfit. This jumpsuit might be it. It’s a gorgeous and soft velvet with the most elegant grosgrain waist. I love the one shoulder detail, and rich black color. It’s also wildly comfortable {I love wearing jumpsuits – you’re one & done!} so I know I can get away wearing this all night. Paired it here with some simple & classic accessories  & a classic bold red lip!

What is your favorite holiday tradition? Can’t wait to hear! xx
