Shopbop Bi-Annual Tiered Sale

One of my favorite sales of the year is here! The Shopbop bi-annual tiered sale makes most of the site up to 25% off with code: GOBIG19. Works on full priced and sale items! Details are below:

15% off orders of $200+ // 20% off orders of $500+ // 25% off orders of $800+

Sharing some of my absolute favorites included in the sale {some of which I’ve owned for years!}

Y’all already know I love a jumpsuit and #2 {I talked about it here} – there is just something so fun about the bright red color for summer. It feels so fresh! It also goes well with brown and black and I think the jumpsuit could look so cute dressed up or down. Loving #3 as well – the blush pink is so pretty, but will have to wait until after pregnancy for me! #7 is a dream – I am so, so tempted! Especially because of this sale. I think pregnant or not, it will be something I could wear for years to come! I own #8 and it’s one of my favorite dresses from last year. I wore it all the time. It’s perfect for days at the beach or hot summer nights. Another option thats extremely to dress up or down. I don’t often wear prints, but the back on #9 is so pretty. I also love the turquoise color! Might need to snatch this up for my trip to the Bahamas in a few weeks. Last but not least – #11, #12, and #14. This brand makes the ultimate beachwear. Elegant cuts and shapes, but still easy to wear and super comfortable. Whats not to love? I especially love the new striped option! Will be so cute this summer with a belly {although it is not maternity, so I can wear post baby too!}

Although I can’t wear any of these options now, scooping up denim deals during the Shopbop sale has always been one of my favorite things. #2 are a faux ‘leather’ legging I discovered back in November. They’re one of the best I’ve seen – especially for the price. I like that they’re not too shiny, and that they look super expensive. How fun is the detail on #3? If I could wear regular jeans right now, I would order these for sure. I love the delicate lace detailing on the hem.  #5 is a shape I’m really into right now. I especially like the raw edge. #6 is such a fun jean – I’m really into leopard and I like how they’ve styled these online. With such a loud print, it’s nice to pair down the rest of the outfit with a simple T and black mules. #7 is a pair of jeans I’ve owned for 2 years now and have probably worn a thouuuuusand times. They’re comfortable, don’t stretch out and loook good year round.  Lastly, #8 is by One Teaspoon which is a brand I’ve worn for years {they make the best denim shorts IMO}. I love this cuffed version best.

Shoes are my kryptonite – I can never get enough! Loving #1 as a more chic {and less logo-y option} to the very popular Hermes ‘H’ sandal. I also recently bought #8 in black because of the soft squishy sole – I think these would be amazing for all day wear. They also come in tan which is very tempting! Speaking of all day wear – I own #12 and they are seriously the most comfortable sneakers I own. I feel like a broken record when I say that, but I just can’t get enough of them. They are classic and crisp and go with everything. #3 is something I’ve owned for years {I re-buy every 6 months or so depending on use}. They’re super thin and the best for when you can’t wear a bra with a certain dress or top. #9 is so fun & playful and although I probably wouldn’t buy it full price, the sale price is making it more enticing! I just love those googly eyes!

A few tried and true favorites….like this Michi athleisure jacket. I’ve had it for over two years now and it’s by far the most flattering and comfortable ‘workout’ jacket I own. It also keeps you surprisingly warm which I love. I have it in a S but wouldn’t mind a M 🙂 Roberta Roller Rabbit PJ sets are my newest obsession – my SIL gave me one for Christmas and I can’t get enough. They’re soft and warm but don’t make you hot when you sleep {hate when PJs make you overheat}. I only have the long sleeve/pant set right now, but come summer I will surely want the short version too! Last but not least, can someone please buy this Giambattista Valli gorgeousness?? Not only am I pregnant and can’t wear it, but I also can’t stomach the pricetag. SooOooOooOoo ideally one of you buy it so I can live vicariously through you! 😉

Happy shopping friends! Let me know in the comments what you score! Can’t wait to hear! xx

My Office Bookshelves + Tips to Style Your Own

I work from my office every single day, and when my bookshelves show up in the background of my Instagram stories, I get so many questions about the styling of them! I must admit – I owe all credit to one of my best friends, Lauren, who is so talented – especially when it comes to bookshelves. She was the one who styled them and decided to organize them by color {which I love and think is so fun!}

Surprisingly, I already owned all of these books, and we just used ‘knick knacks’ that I either bought, or collected over the years from travels and whatnot. I have done my best to link as many of the items as I can, but feel free to just use mine as inspiration! This would be sooo easy to recreate at home. A few tips I’ve picked up from Lauren, and others over the years are below!

Add Texture
This one is soooo important! Adding in plants or succulents is a really easy way to not only add a little color, but to also add in texture. Succulents are especially nice because they don’t require a lot of attention – you can water them every couple of weeks and then just let them be. I also love adding in personal mementos like a photo or a knick knack from a recent trip. These not only make me happy, but are also great for adding that second layer of texture.

Go vertical and horizontal
You don’t want your bookshelves to look too perfect, so lay some of your books vertically while some are propped horizontally. I also love to arrange some at an angle – take a stack of smaller books and angle them inward. All of these little tricks will create a more interesting scene than if all the books were organized perfectly in a line.

If you need to, take book covers off
I do this all the time. Sometimes book covers can be too fussy but the book underneath is perfect. Usually all one color, this is a great trick if you are sticking to a theme when styling. I did this a lot when I did the bookshelves in my den and wanted everything to be neutral.

Leave some space
I didn’t use this tip in my office since these shelves are smaller, but I definitely learned the importance of this when we did the bookshelves in my den. If the shelves are long, you need to leave white space so they don’t feel cluttered. You need to step back and remember that don’t need to fill in every space – leave a few open spots so the shelves don’t feel so heavy.  When in doubt, leave it empty! You can always add more over time.

Don’t be afraid to have fun!
There are no rules – If you want to go more neutral, then go more neutral! If you want it to be crazy, and color coordinated, then do that. The best part about bookshelves is that they can constantly evolve.

Baby Nursery Inspiration

Yay for finally being able to spill the beans!!! I am so excited about all things baby and I can’t wait to share every minute of this experience with you. First up, that means the nursery!!!! This past weekend my interior designer, Amy Berry, dropped off some fabric samples and so many of you wanted to know more. I’ll share with you what I shared with her and of course keep you posted as the nursery evolves 🙂

I’ve always known I wanted a pretty gender neutral nursery. I love the idea of a soothing grey + white color scheme with pops of light blue or light pink {of course depending on the gender of the baby!} With that being said, I love the color blue and am ok with that working for either a girl or a boy nursery {blue feels kinda like a neutral to me?!} but didn’t want to have pink everywhere unless we know for sure it’s a girl – do you know what I mean? So I told Amy that I was ok with some blue {regardless of gender} and then pink for things that could easily be switched out {crib bumper, pillows, etc.} keeping the main items {curtains, rug, glider, changing table} gender neutral in the grey/white color scheme.  Also, because we plan to have a few children, I knew I wanted this nursery to last throughout and be workable with both boy and girl babies.

The only thing I have thus far is my crib {also here} which I was lucky enough to snag over a year ago at a Blue Print sample sale in perfect condition for 1/10th the price. I was able to get the crib, which normally costs between $5,000 – $7,000, for several hundred dollars {what!!!!!!!?} I know. I’m honestly still kinda freaking out about it – can’t believe my luck! PS – if you want the look for less, I also really love this crib with the lucite slats!

Anyways – see my nursery inspiration below! I haven’t been able to find any one image or nursery that speaks to me as a whole, but I like certain aspects in each photo below. Don’t pay attention to colors for now – just look at details! Like crib bumpers, lighting, rugs, and the pretty white/grey color scheme.

What are your favorite colors for a nursery? Are you more gender specific or gender neutral? We are finding out gender soon and I just cannot wait!

Our Little Valentine | Baby Announcement

My husband and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting a little one due this summer! We couldn’t be more excited and are feeling overwhelmingly blessed. At times throughout the last two years I wondered if I would ever have this moment, so sitting here today, writing out these words, feels so incredibly special to me.

Can’t wait to share this next chapter {and all of the details} with you!

xx
