My Updated Nighttime Skincare Routine

Magic Eraser // RevitaLash // Sunday Riley Auto Correct // Estee Lauder ANR // Augustinus Bader // Biologique Recherche Colostrum

In the last 5 months, my nighttime skincare routine has drastically changed from when it looked like this. Wowza – how did I ever have that much time and energy!? Gone are the days where I spend 20 minutes before bed slathering myself in multiple creams and allowing time for products soak in. In the first few months after having Henning, I was lucky if I even washed my face before crawling into bed.

With that being said, with every month that passes {and every night that Henning sleeps!} I become more human. And although I’m not back to the 10 step routine of yesteryear, I have gone back to incorporating some of my favorite {new + old!} products into my nighttime skincare routine.

Also, there is no motivation quite like waking up and seeing huge dark circles and touching skin that feels like sandpaper. On those mornings, I am always kicking myself for not taking the time the night before to spend the few extra minutes required to give my skin the attention it deserves.

So! Without further adieu…..below is my very simplified nighttime skincare routine. Although simple, it has really been working wonders for me and like I said above, I can really see a difference on the nights when I don’t do it.

Make Up Eraser – You guys…..what is this thing?! I had heard of these erasers for a while but was never that interested. But a mini one came free with a beauty purchase I made so I figured I’d give it a shot. At first use, I was hooked. All you do is get it wet, and then wipe down your face. No soap, no chemicals…..NOTHING! It’s also so incredibly soft. Like cashmere soft. But softer. I have no clue what voodoo magic this product is working with, but it seriously works and feels amazing on your face at the same time. I wait for my water to warm up and it literally is like a mini spa moment before bed. I’m serious. I’m gifting one of the mini ones to everyone I know for Christmas. They’re that good. Also, it comes in black too but there is something so satisfying about seeing all the makeup come off on the towel that I think I’ll stick with the pink.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – If I’m being really lazy, I’ll usually slather this on my face after washing it and then hit the hay. Just this one product makes a huge difference in the morning. I feel like my skin feels smoother, more hydrated and the lines around my eyes look less….I don’t know….tired? I’ve never dealt with melasma, but I do often deal with an uneven skin tone and I feel like this helps with that too. This product has a cult like following for a reason, it’s just one of those products that works {it has over 800 5 star reviews on Sephora and has been ‘hearted’ 90K times}

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream {also comes in this smaller size} – I first bought this product over a year ago and didn’t repurchase when I ran out because it’s an investment to say the least. But y’all, I needed the best help after having a baby so I bit the bullet and bought it when it went on sale during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. My skin has never perked up faster! This cream was invented by Dr. Bader, a scientist with experience treating burn victims. For years he had used a hydrogel that was used to accelerate skins renewal, and after seeing much success, decided to turn his product into something the public could purchase. The website explains that the cream can “visibly reduce the signs of aging and damage caused by environmental stressors, and leave skin looking restored, regenerated and glowing with health.” The cream claims to activate dormant stem cells, and with how my skin feels after nights of use, I believe it. I use two pumps each night and apply to face, neck and décolleté.

Biologique Recherche Colostrum – I purchased this after a facial at my beloved Joanna Czech {I see Rebecca!} I drop 3-4 drops into my Bader cream and mix. I am not going to sit here and tell you what this product is about because I honestly have no idea, I just use it because Rebecca told me it helped a lot with hydration. For the record – it is not human colostrum. It is the colostrum from a cow! Which is a little odd {I admit!} but I also know how powerful and wonderful human colostrum is, so I trust it is probably the same in animals.

Sunday Riley Auto Correct {also here} – As you all probably know {or can imagine!} I have been dealing with all sorts of under eye bags and dark circles since having a baby. I know it is likely just a phase of life, and they may get better on their own {eventually!} but in the mean time I am using and loving this eye treatment serum. It slides on and leaves a cooling feeling on the eye. And feels so. dang. good. I always feel like I wake up with less puffy eyes after using.

Revitalash Eyelash Serum {also here} – Last but certainly not least is the incredible RevitaLash. Man oh man how I missed using this while pregnant. My lashes are crazy long and healthy and even the cheapest tube of mascara make it look like I have false lashes in. I can say this because I spent two years getting eyelash extensions and just trust me when I say this stuff is so. much. better. Not only is it cheaper and less high maintenance, but it’s also so much healthier for your natural lashes. The glue for the extensions totally destroyed mine! Anyway, this is my #1 beauty must and even if I’m wearing no other make up, my long lashes always make me full more put together. My biggest piece of advice {and I learned this the hard way} is to invest in the larger tube size. The 0.06oz lasts me several months {at least 3} whereas the $55 tube barely lasts one. I only discovered this when I bought the large size during a sale and was shocked at how much longer the product lasted.

Ok! That’s it. Super simple, easy and most importantly – quick! I have totally simplified my routine and that’s the beauty of it honestly. I’m sure, one day, I’ll go back to using my beloved P50 {maybe once my skin stops being so dry!} and other favorites, but for now this is just what works!

What are your favorite skincare products at the moment? Any amazing postpartum ones I need to try out? Let me know in the comments!

    Hi!
    Would love to try the Revitalash! Is it safe to use while breastfeeding?

      I use it while breastfeeding, but I would consult with your own doctor to make an informed decision you are most comfortable with! x
