Current Favorites // Swimsuit Cover Ups

As we approach summer and pool days come into view, I wanted to round up a few of my favorite coverups. Coverups are different than regular dresses because they’re often times made of lighter material that dries faster {crucial if you’re going from beach to anywhere else}. My favorites are #3, #7, #8 and #13. I’ve also recently also gotten into sarongs {maybe it’s because they fit my ever expanding bump} but they’re often times just so pretty too. How gorgeous is #1 and #10? I absolutely love the colors. Many of these are under $100 and would be so great for any beach vacation or pool day you have in your future. Matouk Butterfield Bedding

With baby coming in just a few short weeks, I knew I wanted to get our guest bedroom in order. My parents are planning on staying with us when he’s born and although my dad will probably only visit for a few days, my mom is going to stay for atleast two weeks! My parents are the most low maintenance guests, but I wanted to do something special for their arrival. Plus, the sheets on the bed were some cheapies we had bought when we first moved in and it was time to update them. My mom has always loved Matouk linens, so they were the first company I thought of when looking for new sheets. Since I never sleep in the guest room, I wanted to choose a set I knew she would love. As soon as I saw the scalloped edges on this set, I knew I had to have them. They come in several colors, but blue has always been a favorite color of mine, and it matched my consignment store find-of-a-lifetime headboard perfectly. They’re also that percale cotton that she and I both love so much. Percale sheets are the kind that feel cold and crisp when you climb into bed, and Matouk makes some of the best on the market. I can’t wait for them to come visit when baby comes, and now I’ll feel especially good knowing they’ll be as comfortable as possible. Someone should be getting restful sleep {even if it’s not going to be me! :P}

When my husband and I got married, the first thing we invested in was beautiful, high quality linens and I have never appreciated anything more! It makes crawling into bed every night feel like the ultimate luxury – and we both sleep soooo much better because of it. I bought all my Matouk bedding at Bloomingdale’s where they have an incredible selection of all the best in luxury bedding. The Perfect Gingham Dress

I am 33 weeks pregnant today! I can’t believe how this pregnancy is flying. Honestly, if it weren’t for this little one kicking around so much, I wouldn’t believe it myself 🙂 Seven {or less!} weeks left to go….and the bump is growing more and more everyday. It’s been such a wonderful experience getting to see my body change in so many ways to grow this little human. I am seriously in awe that it knows what to do to nourish him and keep him safe. Doctor told me at my last appointment that he already weighs 4 lbs 6 oz! What a little miracle he is 🙂

With that being said, dressing the bump can be a challenge to say the least! As my little one grows, it has become harder and harder to stay ahead of the curve. Even my maternity t-shirts that used to fit so well in the second trimester are tight now. Enter in this dress. It’s actually non-maternity, but it fits an ever-expanding belly so well because of the elastic top! And y’all – let me just tell you. This dress is comfortable. I could seriously wear it all day. It isn’t restrictive at all and the little off the shoulder sleeves stay put {meaning I’m not having to tug them up or down all the time}.  If I had a waist, this would be so flattering for it too, so I know it will make a great postpartum dress as well. I’ve paired it here with my brand new Sam Edelman sandals and y’all let me just tell you why I’m so excited about these. It is ***impossible*** to find affordable wedges that do NOT have a platform on them!! At 5’10, I am not interested in a platform, so I am always on the hunt for a pair just like these and it has been years since I’ve been able to find a classic, elegant, well made and simple pair of plain black wedges. Why is it always the most simple items that are hardest to find?? Anyway, can you tell I’m excited about these?! They also come in two other beautiful shades {one nude, and one gold} and are so comfortable. They run true to size, so go with what you normally wear and thank me later! I promise you won’t regret these!

Seriously, impressed with the selection Nordstrom has ready for summer. There are literally hundreds of items I want right now like this gorgeous silky layered dress and this bump friendly {but also non maternity} bathing suit coverup. I also just splurged and bought these jelly sandals which I know I’ll wear ALL summer. I have the leather version and these are SO much more comfortable!!! The jelly feels molded to my feet. If you’re planning on going anywhere fun this summer {or if you’re just sticking around home and the pool like me} then go check out Nordstrom’s selection. How To Clean Your Truffle Clarity Pouch

If you have a Truffle clarity case then you probably know this struggle. A serum or lotion leaks and before you know it, you’ve got a cloudy bag that used to be clear – and nothing is working to fix it! Well let me help you – the magical answer is simple! A Clorox wipe does the trick. I will warn you though, it does take a little elbow grease {meaning, you have to put some muscle into the scrubbing} but within a few minutes, your cloudy case will be bright, shiny and most importantly – clear again!
